Something a little different from me today. I went to the Craft Fair on Thursday and found a stand with a big box of House Mouse stamps. I have stayed away from them until now for a few reasons, the most obvious being the complexity of the image and being overwhelmed, not knowing where to start colouring! However on Thursday I found myself going through these gorgeous stamps admiring the fine detail and struggling to choose just one! But I did come home with just one stamp and this was it:

I sat for two hours Thursday night and another hour on Friday colouring this gorgeous image and loved every moment. The only tricky bit was trying to get the little bird in the middle to stand out against the bird seed.
It is a little difficult to tell from the photo but the background is also coloured using B0000. For some reason I just couldnt get it to show in the photo

Copic colours:
Mouse: E70, 71, 77, 93, 04
Birds: B 91, 93, 95, W 0, 1, 3, E000, 41, 43, 44
Flowers: R81, 83, 85, RV 000
Leaves: YG 63, 67, 91
Branches: E30, 31, 53, 55, 57
Bird feeder: C 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, B60 (glass)
Seed: E13, 34, 53, 30
I was really pleased with how the image turned out and know that there will be more House Mouse stamps appearing in my stamp collection when I find them. Copic Oz have their first challenge running at the moment, to colour Flowers and I've been meaning to enter and I think my House Mouse card fits the bill.
The card istelf is a little bit simple in its layout because the image is so large. I've distressed all of the edges and stitched on some pretty white bobbin lace to give it a bit of a shabby chic feel. The House Mouse & Friends Challenge #75 is Vintage.
Thanks for staying with me for such a long post. Enjoy your weekend, everyone. I will back tomorrow with some more to share with you.
